Skincare products all say they’re going to do the same thing. Everyday I’m seeing new products on Instagram that swear they’re going to transform your skin, but will they really? Honestly, probably not. This is my guide to picking the right products that will actually give you the results you’re looking for.

The first step when looking at new skincare products is to check the ingredients. If most of the ingredients are words that don’t even sound real – they’re definitely not good for your skin! Seriously, try to pronounce some of them. If you can’t, DON’T BUY! Skip those products that are full of iso-propyl-monium-phane-octyl-whatevers.

These ingredients are chemicals and synthetic ingredients that will harm your body. Not only are you at a disadvantage for getting bright, glowing skin, but your body will start to feel it too. Anything you apply to your face and skin gets absorbed into your bloodstream. You want to make sure that the ingredients you’re putting on your face are ingredients you would want in your organs too! That’s why I only promote products that are free of harsh chemicals and parabens.

Ok Carolina, but what even IS a paraben? Parabens are basically preservatives for cosmetic products. While they’re relatively safe (meaning you most likely won’t get a reaction from them), they don’t bring in any results.

So what do I recommend?

I recommend products that are made from natural ingredients, chemical-free, paraben-free, and use Chiral Technology.

Your body needs ingredients that are made to work in your favor. To have beautiful skin, you need vitamins and nutrients that are beneficial for you as a whole. This is why many of my DIY videos use fruits and veggies! What’s good for your body will be good for your skin.

Now let’s get into Chiral Technology. Chiral technology is actually an older technology, but is recently breaking through the beauty industry. Basically, chiral technology extracts only the best molecules from natural ingredients to use in skincare products.

Your skin is made up of receptors that are all chiral. Chirality is when a molecule has two sides to it, kind of like having a left and right hand. A chiral molecule has a left and a right side. One side will be beneficial to your skin, and the other side can cause irritation.

An example of this is Vitamin C. Vitamin C has a left molecule and a right molecule, and your skin responds positively to only the left molecule. Regular skincare products with Vitamin C will usually contain both the left & right molecules. Your skin will absorb the left one, and the right one will sit on your skin causing a reaction (redness, irritation, acne).

Products that use chiral technology will only give you the left molecule, so your skin only gets the molecule that heals and clears your skin.

All in all, chiral technology takes out the bad and gives you the good. Your skin will only be getting the nutrients it needs to have a better appearance.
