Did you know that you could use butternut squash on your face? After cooking a healthy meal, I had some leftovers and decided to make a face mask! My friend Floyd Perez, a personal trainer and fitness nutrition specialist, joined me for this brightening and anti-aging mask!

This mask is perfect for the winter season, especially since skin tends to get dull, dry, or flaky at this time. Butternut squash, filled with Vitamin E, can help heal and protect skin as well as repair it.

Fun fact: Butternut squash naturally boosts collagen production.

Butternut Squash Anti-Aging Mask

What you’ll need:

  • Plain Pureed Butternut Squash
  • 1 Teaspoon of Raw Unprocessed Honey
  • 1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon*

Add all the ingredients into a bowl and mix them all together. The butternut squash has natural enzymes to brighten your skin and gently exfoliate the dead skin cells. Apply the mixture to clean, dry skin. Avoid the eye area and feel free to apply it to the neck as well. Leave the mask on for about 5-8 minutes. After rinsing it off with warm water, your skin should look brighter and feel hydrated.

*Do not include the cinnamon if you have sensitive skin or rosacea. Cinnamon can upset sensitive skin and increase redness.

Fun Fact: Cinnamon can stimulate the blood vessels and improve fine lines.

You can use this mask about once a week for a glowing and more even complexion! Thank you to my friend Floyd Perez who has been helping me make my videos more special! Follow him here and stay tuned for more tips from the both of us!
