That means a person who wins S1 million will end up with only $33,000 after depreciation and personal tax. In India, a person who wins INR 71,16,500 is left with just 23,48,775 after personal tax and depreciation. A seven-time lottery winner has stated that taxes on a smaller amount are more generous and the government is merely greedy.
